India's Chandrayaan-3 mission honoured in US, receives 2026 Goddard Astro Award

India's Chandrayaan-3 mission has received the 2026 Goddard Astronautics Award from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The Goddard Astronautics Award is the organisation's highest recognition for notable achievements in the field of astronautics. On August 23, 2023, Chandrayaan-3 created history by becoming the first spacecraft to achieve a soft landing near Moon's south pole.
