India's cheetah population rises to 60 with birth of 5 cubs

A 32-month-old Indian-born female cheetah has given birth to five healthy cubs at Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park, CM Mohan Yadav announced. With this, India's cheetah population has reached 60, including 41 Indian-born cheetahs. The births also mark a new genetic lineage for the country's growing cheetah population, as the cubs' father is a Botswana-born male cheetah.
