Ministry of Coal said captive, commercial and other mines crossed 200 million tonnes coal production on March 11 in FY26, surpassing FY25's total of 197.32 MT ahead of schedule. Captive and commercial mines produced 194.17 MT, while others added 6.06 MT. Coal dispatch also rose 7.71% year-on-year, ensuring reliable supply to power and industrial sectors across India.
