India's Defence Budget increased to ₹6.81 lakh cr in 2025

India's Defence Budget increased from ₹2.53 lakh crore in 2013-14 to ₹6.81 lakh crore in 2025-26, according to the Ministry of Defence. For FY 2025-26, ₹6,81,210.27 crore has been allocated- 9.53% higher than FY 2024-25 and 13.45% of the Union Budget, the highest among ministries. These efforts have made India a self-reliant and globally trusted defence exporter, the ministry said.
