India's defence exports will cross ₹50,000 crore by 2029: Govt

India will comfortably cross its defence exports target of ₹50,000 crore by 2029, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh said on Thursday. India's defence exports jumped 62% in 2025-26 to touch ₹38,424 crore, he added. The jump was led by the public sector, Singh further said. In 2024-25, India's defence exports hit ₹23,622 crore, a rise from ₹21,083 crore in 2023-24.
