India's envoy to Sri Lanka pitches for direct land bridge connectivity between the two countries

India's High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha, pitched for direct India-Sri Lanka land bridge connectivity during a summit. Stating that the relationship between India and Sri Lanka is a natural two-way current, Jha said, "There is no big brother here. We are civilisational twins." Jha arrived in Colombo as High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka in December 2023.
