India's first hydrogen train completes 120 kmph speed trial

India's first hydrogen-powered train successfully completed its final high-speed trial on the Jind–Sonipat section in Haryana, at 120 kmph speed. It is equipped with hydrogen leak detectors, flame detection systems and continuous monitoring technology. The train is part of Indian Railways' initiative to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and promote cleaner, more sustainable transport.
