India's fiscal deficit reaches 46.5% of FY25 target in Apr-Oct

India's fiscal deficit stood at ₹7.5 lakh crore for April-October or 46.5% of the estimate for the current financial year. The fiscal deficit stood at ₹8.03 lakh crore in the same period a year ago. Total receipts for the first seven months of FY25 stood at ₹17.2 lakh crore, while overall expenditure was at ₹24.73 lakh crore.
