India's forex reserves drop $12.95 bn to $734.61 bn
India's foreign exchange reserves fell by USD 12.95 billion to USD 734.61 billion for the week ended October 2, per RBI data. Foreign currency assets dropped USD 10.66 billion to USD 604.75 billion, while gold reserves declined USD 2.29 billion. Despite the fall, reserves remain USD 43.5 billion higher than end-March 2026 levels.
