India's GST collection in Aug jumps 15% YoY to nearly ₹2 lakh cr

India's goods and services tax (GST) collections in August this year jumped 14.8% year-on-year to ₹1.99 lakh crore, extending the strong revenue growth seen over the past three months. The GST collections stood at ₹1.74 lakh crore in August 2025. Net GST revenue, after adjusting for refunds, for the month stood at ₹1.68 lakh crore, marking an 8.3% annual growth.
