India’s longest funicular railway now open in Maharashtra

The long-awaited funicular railway to Shri Malanggad in Kalyan was finally inaugurated on Sunday. It is now the longest funicular railway service in India. The new service is expected to make the pilgrimage safer, faster, and far more convenient for devotees. It will reduce the two hour strenuous journey to just 10 minutes.
