India's missing monsoon is causing silent heat stress

India's delayed monsoon is exposing people to prolonged heat stress. Doctors warn that heat and warm nights prevent body from recovering. As per Dr Suranjit Chatterjee, Senior Consultant, Internal Medicine at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, results can include dehydration, fatigue, poor sleep, headaches and worsening blood pressure and blood sugar, especially among people with chronic illnesses.
