India's next-generation Dhruv-NG helicopter makes maiden flight

India's next-generation Dhruv-NG helicopter made its maiden flight on Tuesday after it was flagged off by Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu in Bengaluru. Indigenously built by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Dhruv-NG can be used for offshore operations, medical ambulances, tourism, VIP operations, or regular travel to remote areas. Naidu called it a historic moment.
