India’s peak power demand hit a record high of 257.37 GW on Monday afternoon, surpassing last month's record of 256.11 GW, according to the Ministry of Power. India’s peak power demand during the day hit 257.37 GW, while the evening peak demand stood at 241.24 GW. The ministry projected India's peak power demand to reach 270 GW this summer.
