India's petroleum reserves can last 74 days in case of global turbulence: Puri

India’s strategic petroleum reserves can meet domestic fuel demand for up to 74 days in the event of global disruptions, Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said. He noted that the reserves are meant to cushion the country during extreme global turbulence, adding that the International Energy Agency recommends member nations maintain reserves equivalent to around 90 days of consumption.
