India's retail inflation eases to 4-month low of 5.22% in December 2024

India's retail inflation declined to a fourth-month low of 5.22% in December last year, as per the government data released on Monday. Moreover, food inflation for the month is 8.39%, dropping below 9% for the first time in four months. The year-on-year housing inflation rate for December is 2.71%, which is slightly lower than 2.87% in November.
