India’s services sector adds 40 million jobs: NITI

India's services sector has emerged as a major job creator, with its employment share rising to 29.7% in 2023-24, up from 26.9% in 2011-12, according to NITI Aayog. The sector added nearly 40 million jobs in six years, driven by IT, finance, and business services. The findings will shape India's 'Viksit Bharat 2047' roadmap.
