India's solar power capacity rose to 140 GW in 11 years: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the Lok Sabha that India's solar power capacity rose from 3 gigawatts (GW) to 140 GW in 11 years. He added, "Nearly 4 million rooftop panels have been installed with help from PM Suryagarh Free Electricity Scheme." PM Modi further said the hydropower development scheme will help increase India's hydropower capacity by 1,500 MW.
