India’s sports economy doubled in 4 years, crossed $2 billion in 2025: Report

India's sports economy crossed the $2 billion-mark for the first time in 2025, reaching ₹18,864 crore ($ 2.13 billion), according to a WPP Media report. It garnered a 13.4% growth over the previous year and doubled in four years, the report added. Further, cricket business grew by 17.9% to ₹16,704.2 crore in 2025, contributing nearly 89% to the total industry.
