India's sugar, edible oil demand dips amid commercial gas shortage
Demand for sugar and edible oils in India is declining as commercial gas cylinder shortage has forced restaurants to scale back operations, Reuters reported. India's edible oil imports fell nearly 9% in March from the previous month, an official from Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA) said. "Gas cylinder deliveries haven't happened..even three weeks after booking," a vendor said.
