India's truck transition could be worth $1 trillion

Blue Energy Motors founder Anirudh Bhuwalka estimates India's shift from diesel-powered heavy trucks to alternative fuels could create a $1 trillion manufacturing opportunity. India has around 40 lakh medium and heavy-duty trucks, with about 2.5 lakh new trucks sold annually. Bhuwalka said LNG and electric trucks could serve different transport requirements during the transition.
