India's unemployment rate marginally declines to 4.9% in February 

India's overall unemployment rate was estimated at 4.9% in February, marginally lower than the 5.0% recorded in January. The urban unemployment rate declined to 6.6% in February, while the rural unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.2%. The overall female unemployment rate declined to 5.1%, compared to 5.6% in January. The labour force participation (LFP) rate remained unchanged at 55.9%.
