India's women fencers reach foil team quarters at Asian Games 2026

India's women fencers secured a 45-24 win against Indonesia in the foil team event to advance to the quarter-finals at the Asian Games 2026. Kanupriya Chawla, Joys Ashitha Stalinraj, Mina Devi Naorem and Sonia Devi Waikhom will next face Japan on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Indian men's sabre team defeated the Philippines 45-27 to also reach the quarter-finals.
