India saw extreme weather event on 90% of days in 2022's first 9 months: Report

A Centre for Science and Environment report has claimed that India recorded an extreme weather event on almost 90% of the days in first nine months of 2022. The report added that these disasters claimed 2,775 lives, with Himachal Pradesh recording the highest number of human deaths, and affected 1.8 million hectares of crop area. Disasters destroyed 4.16 lakh houses.
