India seeks $2.5 bn loans from World Bank, ADB for infra growth: Report
India is in talks with multilateral lenders to secure about $2.5 billion in funding from existing credit lines, according to Bloomberg News. The World Bank and Asian Development Bank (ADB) are reportedly discussing the disbursement of loans worth $1.5 billion and $1 billion, respectively. The funding is largely aimed at boosting urban infrastructure and creating jobs, the report added.
