India seeks tax from Amazon on cloud services fees paid to US

Indian tax authority has decided to levy tax on cloud services fees paid by Amazon to the US. This could result in "significant" amounts of taxes for Amazon, including payments for some of the previous years, the company said in a regulatory filing. Calling the tax authority's decision "without merit", Amazon said it would defend its position "vigorously".
