India sends 270 MT of food aid to 4 African countries

India has sent 270 metric tonnes of food aid to Sudan, South Sudan, Djibouti and Eritrea to "alleviate the suffering of the people" affected by natural calamities and the pandemic. The aid, comprising 155 metric tonnes of wheat flour, 65 metric tonnes of rice and 50 metric tonnes of sugar, is being transported by INS Airavat, an MEA statement said.
