India set to get first dengue vaccine Qdenga

India may soon get its first dengue vaccine, Qdenga by Takeda, approved as safe and effective. This tetravalent vaccine protects against all four dengue strains and works without pre-screening. Planned for ages 4-60, it offers up to 64% efficacy. With rising dengue cases, it could significantly reduce severe infections and hospitalisations.
