Ex-India captain Sunil Gavaskar has said that India should drop Abhishek Sharma for the T20 World Cup 2026 final against New Zealand. "Abhishek is the number one batter in ICC T20I rankings, but he hasn't learned from his dismissals," Gavaskar said. He added that Rinku Singh should replace Abhishek in the XI, and Ishan Kishan should open alongside Sanju Samson.
