India should get permanent UNSC seat, says Russia at UNGA

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov backed India’s bid for a permanent UNSC seat and supported Brazil. At UNGA, he called for greater representation for Asia, Africa and Latin America. "UN Security Council reform cannot involve any additional seats being allocated to Western countries, especially to Germany and Japan, who are now on the path to militarism and revanchism," he said.
