India and Britain on Thursday signed a civil nuclear agreement on day one of PM Narendra Modi's three-day visit to the UK. “We have today signed civil nuclear agreement, which is a symbol of our mutual trust,” Modi said in a statement with British PM David Cameron. Britain also supported India's permanent membership of the UN's Security Council.
