India has fallen to being the world's sixth largest economy behind US, China, Germany, Japan, and UK, according to the latest global GDP data by International Monetary Fund (IMF). The expectations of India surpassing Japan to become the fourth-largest economy in 2025 have been pushed back. The weakening rupee is said to have contributed to the decline in India's ranking.
