India and Sri Lanka on Wednesday signed an MoU on economic cooperation in the presence of PM Narendra Modi and his Sri Lankan counterpart Ranil Wickremesinghe. PM Modi earlier had comprehensive talks with the Lankan PM on ways to strengthen bilateral relations. The MoU proposes Indian investment in a port, oil tank farm, highway and railway projects in Sri Lanka.
