India starts work at 2 dams over Chenab after suspending treaty with Pak: Report

India has started the "reservoir flushing" process to remove sediment at two hydroelectric projects, Salal and Baglihar, after suspending Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan, Reuters reported citing sources. The work at the two dams on the Chenab River is reportedly being done for the first time since they were built. NHPC is carrying out the work, as per the report.
