India stripped of their first-ever Rowing World Cup gold medal stripped as Lakshay caught doping

India have been stripped of their maiden Rowing World Cup gold after Lakshay, one half of the lightweight double sculls team, tested positive for stanozolol. Lakshay and Ujjwal Kumar Singh had won the gold in Lucerne in June. NADA has provisionally suspended Lakshay, and all his results after the May 25 sample will be disqualified.
