India summons Canadian envoy as Canada declares Indian diplomat as 'person of interest'

Canadian diplomat Stewart Wheeler has been summoned by India's External Affairs Ministry, as per reports. India is set to lodge a strong protest with Canada after the latter's move to include the Indian High Commissioner and other diplomats as "persons of interest" in connection to an investigation. "The Government of India strongly rejects these preposterous imputations," MEA had stated.
