India, Switzerland reach deal on FTA after 16 years of negotiations

Switzerland and India have reached a consensus on a free-trade agreement (FTA) after 16 years of negotiations, Swiss Economy Minister Guy Parmelin said. After Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal's last-minute invite, Parmelin travelled to India directly after the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. An outline of a deal was agreed & officials are working to finalise the details, Parmelin said.
