India targets $500 billion electronics sector by 2030: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at SEMICON India 2024 said India aims to make its electronics sector worth $500 billion by the end of this decade. It is currently worth over $150 billion. "Our goal is that 100% of electronic manufacturing should happen in India. India will make semiconductor chips and the finished products too," PM Modi stated.
