India thrash South Africa 6-1, top group ahead of China in Women's Hockey World Cup

India thrashed South Africa 6-1 to move to the top of Pool D, ahead of China, at the FIH Women's Hockey World Cup 2026 on Tuesday. Sunelita Toppo opened the scoring in the 11th minute for India, while Navneet Kaur, Sushila Chanu, Deepika, Lalremsiami and Sakshi Rana scored the other goals. Earlier, India had secured 2-2 draw against China.
