India to ban Chinese CCTV cameras from April 1: Report

Chinese firms, including Hikvision and Dahua, will be barred from selling internet-connected CCTV cameras in India from April 1 as new certification rules take effect. The rules mandate strict security and compliance standards. The government is refusing to certify products made by Chinese companies or those using Chinese chipsets, effectively excluding them from the domestic market, ET reported.
