India to become world's largest economy this century: Top US economist

US economist Jeffrey Sachs praised India's economic growth potential and said, "At some point in this century...India will be the world's largest economy." He said India and China could help create a more multilateral world, as the two are expected to become the largest economies. Sachs highlighted BRICS' importance, noting that the bloc accounts for 40% of the global economy.
