India to export 654 MW of electricity to Nepal daily till year-end after flash floods
India has approved the export of up to 654 MW of electricity to Nepal for 18 hours a day until December 31, after the recent flash floods impacted the country's generation capacity. More than 12 hydropower plants were swept away in the floods, following which Nepal halted power exports. The Muzaffarpur-Dhalkebar and Tanakpur-Mahendranagar lines will supply the power.
