India to export BrahMos missiles for 1st time, $375mn deal signed with Philippines

India on Friday signed a deal worth $374.9 million for the sale of the BrahMos missile system for use by the Philippines Navy. This is the first time India will export the shore-based anti-ship missiles produced by BrahMos Aerospace, an India-Russia joint venture. The Philippines had, last month, accepted BrahMos Aerospace's proposal to supply the missile systems.
