India is all set to get its first transgender police officer as the Madras High Court on Thursday ordered the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) to appoint K Prithika Yashini as Sub Inspector. Notably, Prithika was denied the job despite clearing written and physical tests on the ground that she did not fall under the 'two available genders'.
