India to have new GDP series by February 2026: Report

India will have a new GDP series with 2022-23 as the base by February 2026, Moneycontrol reported. The older series, currently in operation, has 2011-12 as its base. "We are working on revisions of GDP and CPI series," Saurabh Garg, Secretary, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, said. The next Economic Census will begin from April 2025, added Garg.
