India to host World Indoor Athletics Championships for 1st time ever in 2028

India has been awarded the hosting rights for the World Indoor Athletics Championships 2028. Bhubaneswar will be the host city for the meet. It will be the first time that India would be hosting the World Indoor Athletics Championships. India will become only the fourth Asian nation to host the biennial event.
