India to launch real-time dashboard to track seafarers as Hormuz war claims more lives

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal directed the Director General of Shipping to establish a comprehensive vessel-by-vessel dashboard to track every Indian aboard every vessel, irrespective of flag, in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman. It'll provide real-time vessel positions, crew details and threat assessments. An Indian seafarer died in Iranian attacks on UAE tankers.
