India to pick RR, Safran or GE for AMCA engine by July 2025

India anticipates selecting a partner by July 2025 to co-develop a 6th-generation engine for its Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) Mk-2. Negotiations with Rolls-Royce (UK), Safran (France), and GE (US) have concluded. Rolls-Royce is reportedly favoured, offering full intellectual property rights, while Safran presents a strong alternative with 100% technology transfer.
