India turns highway close to China border into runway for fighter jets
PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate on February 14, Northeast's first Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) on the Dibrugarh-Moran National Highway in Assam. This area is close to the Indo-China border. The stretch, which is 4.2 km long, was tested by Rafale jets, Sukhois and Tejas fighter planes on Wednesday. The plan is to develop 28-29 such ELFs across India.
