The India-UK Free Trade Agreement will take effect from July 15, the British government announced. The deal, signed in July last year, eliminates tariffs on 99% of India's exports to the UK, covering nearly 100% of the trade value. Sectors including textiles, leather, marine products, gems and jewellery, and toys are expected to benefit while boosting employment generation.
